How to fill in each field
Period covered
State exactly which month/period the rent payment covers.
Common mistake: No period, so it's unclear which month was paid.
Amount & method
Record the amount received and how it was paid (cash, transfer, card).
Common mistake: Omitting the method, weakening it as proof of payment.
Date paid
Use the date payment was actually received.
Common mistake: Using the due date instead of the received date.
Balance
Show any remaining balance or confirm paid in full.
Common mistake: Not noting partial payments and the outstanding amount.
